Shelagh Cluett's student work at Hornsey College of Art, where she studied sculpture 1968-71 graduating with first class honours, already displays concerns that she pursued throughout her career. She developed this work in terms of technique, material, composition and scale as a postgraduate student at Chelsea College of Art in the following year.
